Syracuse Man Arrested And Charged With Rape

Syracuse, N.Y - Syracuse Police have made an arrest of a man accused of rape. 

This morning about  around 2:30 Syracuse Police responded to the 100 block of Parkside Drive. 

Upon arrival, officers met with the female victim, who reported she had been raped by an unknown male. 

The victim told police the suspect became angry when she refused his sexual advances and began to punch her in the back of the head. The victim tried to leave, but the suspect held her down and forcibly had sex with her.  

While police were investigating the incident, they located a male in the 100 block of Parkside Drive, who matched the description provided by the victim. 

Lourese Davis, 47, 195 Parkside Drive, Syracuse, was identified as the suspect.  Davis was taken into custody without incident.

Davis is charged with Rape in the First Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree and Assault in the Third Degree.
