Syracuse Couple Found Guilty Of Real Estate Fraud

Syracuse, N.Y. - State Attorney General's department brought the hammer down on Joseph Funding Company.

Joseph Holman who some times goes by,  Reggie and Rebecca Ausby who is also known as Rena Holman were charged with falsely advertising as real estate and property management professionals and they engaged in repeated fraud.

They preyed on homeowners who were struggling to pay their mortgage, or those interested in getting rid of hard-to-sell properties. Their website identified dozens of properties that they were managing or had recently sold or rented but those listings were fake.

The court order handed down today, bans Holman and Ausby from owning or operating any real estate or real estate investment business in New York State forever and requires them to pay $98,891 in restitution.
