Bob Antonacci Gets The Support Of Some Democrats

Syracuse, N.Y. - Bob Antonacci just got another boost in his bid to replace Senator John DeFrancisco in the 50th district.

Today Antonacci received the backing of Albany County Comptroller Michael Conners and Ulster County Comptroller Elliott Auerbach, both Democrats.

The two crossed party lines to endorse Antonacci for the New York State Senate, calling him a "tough fiscal watchdog and leader who will protect hardworking taxpayers, ensure balance in state government and preserve Upstate's voice in Albany."

"This isn't about Democrats or Republicans, it's about doing what's right for Upstate New York.  Regardless of party, Bob Antonacci is the right choice for the 50th Senate District and for all of Central New York," Auerbach said.

Antonacci is running against Democrat and West Genesee High Biology Teacher, John Mannion to replace Senator John DeFrancisco who retired after holding the seat for 25 years.
