Syracuse, N. Y. - Syracuse Police arrested an armed robber early this morning.
Around 1:30 this morning police responded to the intersection of South Salina Street and East Water Street. There they found a victim who told them a man, 21 year old Michael Viola, pulled a gun on him and forced him into an alley where Viola stole $50 from the victim. The victim was not injured.
Police were able to track down Viola and he was arrested without incident. They located a BB gun in a dumpster near where they arrested Viola.
Viola is charged with Robbery in the Second Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.
