Edmeston Man Face 27 Charges Of Animal Cruelty After Cows Found

Edmeston, N.Y. - An Edmeston man is being charged with the deaths of 27 cows.

New York State Police charged James S. Mumbulo, age 45 with 27 counts of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals. 

Troopers were dispatched to check the welfare of several animals at a rented dairy farm on County Route 20 in Edmeston.  When troopers inspected the barn, the located 27 deceased cow carcasses and several inches of manure.  Troopers also discovered that there was no food or water in the barn. After consulting with a veterinarian and the District Attorney’s office, Mumbulo was arrested. 

He was released and is scheduled to appear in court later in November.
