Charlotte, N.C. - An armed and dangerous rapist wanted for leading police on a car chase on Syracuse's East Side has been arrested.
Deshawnte Waller had been on the run when he caused a car crash earlier this month for failing to register as a sex offender in Georgia. Waller managed to get out of Central New York and headed to Charlotte, North Carolina where he was arrested on Friday.
Waller's rap sheet includes rape, assault, robbery and burglary convictions in New York, Georgia and South Carolina.
