A woman who left her dog inside her car for nearly two hours while attending the Lafayette Apple Festival is now facing animal cruelty charges.
State police say after the dog was found inside the car, several attempts were made by the festival public address system to locate Dana Studer of Rome without success. Troopers then broke the car window and removed the dog, which was in good health. Studer is charged with animal cruelty and was released on an appearance ticket. She will be in Lafayette Court on Wednesday.
