Syracuse, N.Y. - The driver of the car connected to a hit-and-run that claimed the life of 27 year old Larry Maturo in June, has been offered a plea deal.
Vontell Sparks had faced eight different charges originally but he has now been offered a chance to plead guilty to vehicular homicide and tampering with evidence.
If he takes the plea he will get as little as 3 and no more than 11 years in prison. He has only until Wednesday to decide.
Four other people face charges related to the deadly hit n run as they aided Sparks in trying to cover up the accident.
Ashley Cuozzo, Sparks' girlfriend, Sylvester Livingston, Cuozzo's father, Michelle Livingston, Cuozzo's mother, and Lakeya Sparks, Vontelle's sister.
