Syracuse Police Make An Arrest In The Shooting Death Of A 12 Year Old

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler announced at a press conference today they have made an arrest in the shooting death of 12 year old James Springer III. Springer was shot dead Wednesday night on John Street. 

Fowler said  Alberto Pinet 22 has been charged with murder in the second degree, attempted murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.   

Fowler says that he was not the intended target and there may be more arrests.

He asked that calmer heads prevail and for everyone to let  the justice system do its job.
