Syracuse Crunch Announce They Will Stay In Syracuse Another 12 Years

Syracuse, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch has announced they will continue to play in Syracuse for another 12 years. 

Crunch Owner Howard Dolgon said the lease extension that will ensure the Crunch continue to play home games at the War Memorial Arena through the 2029-30 season.

Dolgon said they had 6 years left on the current lease, but ripped that up and signed a new lease for 12 years. Dolgon said in light of Onondaga County's commitment to the improvements in the building an extension was important.

"We are delighted to have reached an agreement on a new 12-year lease and appreciate the efforts from the county, the legislature and SMG in bringing this to fruition," Dolgon said. 

The Crunch will starts its 25th season tomorrow night as the puck will be dropped at 7pm. 

The Crunch is hosting Charlotte.
