Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse's Rosamond Gifford Zoo has more good news today!
The zoo has achieved accreditation once again from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
The zoo has been an accredited member since 1987. The process happens every five years. Zoo and aquarium professionals observe all aspects of the zoo's operation, such as animal care and welfare, keeper training, educational programs, conservation efforts, veterinary programs, financial stability, risk management and safety for visitors, staff and animals.
