Double Stabbing At Large Fight On Geddes Leads To Quick Arrest

Another violent attack on Syracuse streets Thursday night - only this time, police make a very quick arrest.

Officers sent to North Geddes Street around 12:30 AM Friday morning for a stabbing report found a 27-year-old man stabbed in his left shoulder and a 23-year-old woman stabbed in her left arm.  Both were hospitalized for injuries not considered serious.  Detectives determined both injuries occurred during a large fight in the vicinity, and both victims were attacked by the same person.  That led to officers arresting 23-year-old Julissa Torres at the scene on 2 counts of assault as well as criminal possession of a weapon.  Torres is currently hospitalized for minor injuries from the fight, but will be taken to the Justice Center when she is released.
