Syracuse, N.Y. - The search is on for an armed and dangerous rapist after an East Side Crash. And now there is a reward.
The United States Marshals Service is looking for 41-year-old Deshawnte Waller.
He has been on the run since Tuesday morning. Police were pursuing him when he slammed a Chevy Tahou into a BMW X5 on Croly Street near the intersections of East Genesee and Salt Springs Road. His rap sheet includes rape, assault, robbery and burglary convictions in New York, Georgia and South Carolina.
He is a wanted man now because he failed to register as a Sex Offender in Georgia.
Waller is described as 5'10" and weighs about 200 pounds. He has multiple tattoos.
Anyone with information to the whereabouts of Waller can contact the U.S. Marshals at 315-473-7601.
The Marshal's have offered a $1,000 reward for information that leads to his arrest.
