SU Student Accused Of Attacking His Girlfriend And Her Cat

Syracuse, N.Y. - A Syracuse University has been arrested after police say he repeatedly threw his ex-girlfriend's cat against a wall during a domestic dispute.

Police say that about one-year-ago  21-year-old Dancheng Wang punched and kicked his ex-girlfriend several times inside a University Avenue apartment. Police say Wang turned his fury on the woman's cat fractured it's skull, pelvis, and femur. The woman suffered minor injuries.

The incident happened last October but Syracuse Department of Public Safety officers were not told about it until last month.

Wang is being held in the Justice Center on animal cruelty, criminal mischief, and harassment charges.
