SU Nearly Pulls Upset Over Clemson

Clemson, S.C. - Death Valley was a sea of orange as SU nearly pulled off an inconceivable upset of third-ranked Clemson. The Orange lost 27 to 23.

The Orange had the lead for most of the second half until Clemson scored a touchdown with 41 seconds left.

Clemson freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence went to the locker room during the first half after sustaining an apparent upper-body injury. Clemson made national sports news after Kelly Bryant announced he was leaving the team after he was demoted in favor of Lawrence. Clemson was forced to play with their third string quarterback Chase Brice. Brice was the 15th ranked quarterback coming out of the high school in 2017.
