Former Syracuse Mayor Discusses Run For Governor

Colonie, N.Y. - The former mayor of Syracuse believes she can be New York's next governor.

In an interview with the "Times Union," Stephanie Miner says due to the current political climate, an independent candidate could pull off a major upset in November.

Miner is running as the representative of the "Serve America Movement."  She says if elected, she'll focus on issues like fiscal responsibility, non-partisan redistricting and ending mass incarceration.
