Florence Causing Flooding South Of Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. - Folks across most of Central New York will be dealing with the remnants of Hurricane Florence today.

A flash flood watch is in effect for Onondaga, Madison, Cayuga, Cortland, and other nearby counties until noon. Rain from what used to be Florence is expected to stay south of Syracuse and soak the Southern Tier and south of the Pennsylvania border.

There is a concern that the rain could cause streams and creeks to overflow.
