Albany, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo is a step closer to his third term in office.
He was the clear winner over actress and activist Cynthia Nixon in yesterday's Democratic primary. The race turned bitter in its final days, with Nixon accusing Cuomo of ducking questions about the reopening of a bridge bearing his father's name. There was also controversy surrounding a mailer accusing Nixon of anti-Semitism.
The governor will face Republican nominee Marc Molinaro in November.
