Marcy, N.Y. - New York State Police have arrested Stephanie L. Sampson, age 30, from Utica, NY for Rape 3rd degree, a felony, Official Misconduct and Promoting Prison Contraband , both misdemeanors.
Sampson, is a New York State Correction Officer. She is charged with providing alcohol and having a sexual relationship with an inmate at the Marcy Correctional Facility.
Sampson was taken into custody, and transported to the Oneida County Jail for arraignment.
The arrest was the result of a joint investigation by State Police and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.
The investigation is continuing.
