Cortland, N.Y. - Police say around 2:15 this morning they responded to a stabbing call on Main Street near Groton Ave. There they found 32 year old Damien Grant. He was rushed to a hospital with a stab wound to his upper chest. He was was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police have arrested 32 year old Andrew Pilcher and charged him with Manslaughter, weapons possession and tampering with evidence.
Police believe the two got into a fight when Grant was stabbed. Both men are from Cortland but it appears they did not know each other.
Police are still investigating what caused the fight to begin with.
