Syracuse, N.Y. - Sweltering temperatures and humidity are on tap again today for Central New York. A heat advisory is in effect from 11 this morning until eight tonight across the area.

Highs are expected to be in the low 90's, with the heat index making it feel over 100 degrees in some spots. The conditions could cause people to suffer from weather-related illnesses like heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
Folks are asked to check on the elderly and children until the temperatures cool down.
