Miner's Petitions To Be On Ballot Being Challenged By Democrats

Syracuse, N.Y. - The chairman of the Onondaga County Democratic Committee Mark English is challenging the gubernatorial candidacy of Stephanie Miner and the Serve America Movement.

The former Democratic mayor of Syracuse submitted nearly 41,000 petition signatures, she only needed 15,000 to get on the ballot. 3 people including English, have filed objections to those petitions.

By Thursday, those people need to prove that enough of Miner's petition signatures are invalid to drop her below that 15,000 threshold.

Miner is seeking to be on the ballot with a new political party, the Serve America Movement.

Miners campaign calls the action heavy handed and typical of machine party politics and Governor Andrew Cuomo.
