State Fair Day 3: Ludacris, Pride Day, Latino Village, and More

Geddes, N.Y. - The Great New York State Fair is kicking off a third day fresh off another record-setting attendance day.

86,353 people walked through the turnstiles at the Fairgrounds for Day Two. It is the largest first Thursday crowd ever at the Fair by nearly 12,000 people.

Hollywood and hip-hop star Ludacris will be taking the stage at Chevy Court at 8:00 p.m. The Fast and The Furious franchise actor is also known as the host of MTV's recent reboot of Fear Factor.

If you're looking for a deal, College Students get in for just $1 with a valid and current college ID. There is also free admission for Canadian Citizens beginning today through this weekend.

It is Pride Day. The New York State Fair was the first state fair in the nation to establish the day honoring LGBTQ people.

The State Fair's new Latino Village is kicking off it's Latino Village weekend. The festivities kick off today at 2:00 p.m. form the New York Experience stage over in the revamped western end of the Fairgrounds.

A heads-up if you are planning to enjoy a free open skate at the new Expo Center you will need to wait until next week. Check out the rest of the Open Skate hours below: 

  • Monday, August 27: 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 29: 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 – 7:30 pm
  • Thursday, August 30: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 3: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
