Syracuse, N.Y. - Around 1:37 this morning Syracuse Police got a call about a stabbing on the 900 block of Avery Ave.
When they got there they found a 36 year old male, who was suffering from several stab wounds to his back. He was taken to the hospital suffering a punctured lung but is expected to recover from his injuries.
The victim police he was walking down the street when the suspect ran up to him, and stabbed him. Police were able to get a description and located the suspect Gregory Buckingham.
He was taken into custody without incident and charged with Assault in the 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree.
