Town of Whitestown, NY. - Oneida County Sheriffs responded to a three car accident on Route 233 at the intersection with Sutliff Road this morning.
A tractor trailer driven by Thomas Stiles of Virginia was North bound on State Route 233 when his trailer was struck in the rear passenger side by a pickup truck driven by 60 year old Douglas Atkyns of West Winfield. The pickup then spun and struck another vehicle.
Atkyns was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither of the other two drivers were injured.
According to witnesses the tractor trailer driver had a green light. The investigation continues
