Saturday around 9am Oswego Police responded to a call of a man yelling. Police found the man floating off the bank of the Oswego River near Lock 7. Oswego Fire Department performed a water rescue and brought the man to shore. He was unconscious by that time. They performed CPR but the efforts were unsuccessful.
Police have identified the victim as, 33 year old Michael S Cole of Lacona New York.
The current cause of death is unknown pending medical examinations. Police are still investigating and ask anyone with information to contact them at 315.342.8120.
