Syracuse Trio Arrested On Criminal Gun Possession Charges

Syracuse, NY. - This morning around 12:45am, Syracuse Police responded to the 100 block of West Lafayette Ave in regarding shots fired. They located three spent shell casings at this location.

While en route to the call, Police llocated three males at the intersection of Cannon Street and Forest Ave. They tried toi stop the males but they all refused. With the asistnace of other officers, the three suspects. were taken into custody. 

They are identified as Todd Trotman, 17, Karrell Trotman, 19, and Dayzhair Ruckers, 20, all of Syracuse.

In searching the area where the three were apprehended police found a loaded 9mm semiautomatic handgun.The handgun had been reported stolen from North Carolina.

All three were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree. 

T. Trotman was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
