State Police Investigate Man Drowning In Oswego River

State Police are investigating a drowning in the Town of Granby last night. 

Around 9 o'clock, 911 got a call about a man in the Oswego River near  187 Millard Basset Road. 

The caller said they saw a man floating in the river about 35 feet from the shore and he was not moving. 

Phoenix Fire Department Water Rescue recovered the male and attempted CPR, however the person was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The male’s identity is not being released at this time until positive identification can be made and next of kin notified. An autopsy will be conducted to determine an official cause of death.
