Schumer Warns Against 3-D Printed Assault Rifles

New York - New York Senator Chuck Schumer is putting out a warning about online blueprints that'll let people build their own assault rifles.

Schumer says a gun rights organization will place the information online next month.

The blueprints were on the internet a few years ago, but federal officials had them removed arguing they put the public at risk. The group took the matter to court and the U.S. Department of Justice agreed to allow the blueprints to go up starting in August.

Senator Schumer is concerned that people with 3-D printers will use the information to build their own dangerous weapons.
