The Top 5 for the 13th - Is this any way to treat a G-Man?

Congress puts an FBI agent on the broiler, POTUS riles up the Brits, and it was guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty!

Here are "The Top 5 Things You Need To Know Today" for Friday 7/13/18 (yes, it's Friday the Thirteenth!):

1)

PRESIDENT TRUMP RATTLED NATO, NOW RATTLING THE U.K.

POTUS interview with The Sun causing a firestorm in England--  He thinks the PM is blowing it on Brexit, and London's Mayor is doing "a terrible job." What will Mr. Trump say to/about Vladimir Putin in Helsinki next week?

2)

PETER STRZOK GETS FLAMED BY CONGRESSIONAL REPUBLICANS

In a marathon 10-hour session, the FBI agent was called a liar and was threatened with contempt, among other gracious comments. All this stemming from the Hillary Clinton email mess, and some unfortunate text messages Agent Strzok sent to his former mistress. GOP is trying hard to make the FBI look bad.

3)

GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY!

Jury returns guilty verdicts against all four of the "Buffalo Billions" defendants: former SUNY Poly head Alain Kaloyeros, Buffalo developer Louis Ciminelli, and Steven Aiello and Joseph Gerardi of Cor Develeopment. Sentencing of the four is scheduled for October.

4)

HOW LUCKY TO THESE THIRTEEN FOLKS FEEL?

Syracuse police make thirteen arrests linked to the dramatic increase in synthetic marijuana showing up on Salt City streets. This stuff is evidently more dangerous than "natural" pot, with a big jump in emergency overdose responses over the last week or two. Synthetic pot and other drugs were seized at 420 Merriman Avenue.

5)

CYNTHIA NIXON IS NOW OFFICIALLY A CANDIDATE (ALMOST)

The actress running for Governor presented some 65,000 petition signatures to get her name on the primary ballot against Andrew Cuomo. Only 15,000 verified signatures are required, so she is likely to be listed on the Democratic primary ballot in September.
