Cynthia Nixon says, "New York State has some of the lowest voter turnout in the entire country. That’s not accidental. It’s a deliberate strategy that keeps regular people out of the voting process in order to keep incumbents in power. Voters excluded from our current system are often low-income, young people, and people of color, the same groups who are frequently the most motivated to change the status quo. We need to make it easier to vote, not harder. These are the four steps we will take to end voter suppression in our state once I’m governor."
