State Police are investigating a two-car crash that occurred Monday night.
Around 5:13 pm, Troopers responded to Skinner Road in the town of Vernon in Oneida County. The investigation revealed a 2005 Nissan operated by 18-year-old Gabrielle March was traveling westbound on Skinner Road when a 2015 Hyundai, operated by 27 year old Jacob Ross was traveling eastbound and crossed over into the westbound lane and hitting the Nissan head-on.
March suffered a broken left ankle and was transported to Faxton - St. Lukes Hospital. Ross was not wearing a seatbelt and was extracted by the Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and transported to Faxton-St. Lukes Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
