On  Friday, June 22, 2018, at approximately 7:06pm, Syracuse Police  Officers responded to a robbery investigation that occurred in the area  of S. Geddes Street and Merriman  Ave.  The victim reported he was physically attacked by two suspects  while he had his two year old son with him.  The victim knew the suspects to be Isiah Gaston, 22 and Jamel Felton, 27, both of Syracuse.   The victim told police that Gaston punched him in  the face, causing him to fall to the ground.  While on the ground, both  males continued to punch him.  Felton then went through the victims  pockets and took his cell phone and a $100 bill.  The victim sustained  jaw pain as a result of the incident.  The victim’s  two year old child was not physically injured.

Syracuse Police Officer Christopher Gaj located the suspects near the  intersection of Barrett Street and Davis Street.  They were taken into custody without incident.  At the  time of arrest, Gaston was found to be in possession of the victim’s  cell phone.

Gaston and Felton were arrested and charged with Robbery in the Second Degree and Endangering the Welfare  of a Child.  They were lodged at the Onondaga County Justice Center pending their arraignments.
