New Law Allows Fireworks To Be Sold Across New York

A new law is letting people across New York State buy fireworks just in time for the Fourth of July.  The language in the law allows for the sale of "sparkling devices", which are defined as devices that produce sparks, colored flames, whistling noises, and smoke.  People need to be 18 or older to buy and operate the pyrotechnics.  The law states that fireworks can only be sold from June 1st through July 5th and December 26th to January 1st.
