Syracuse Firefighters Launch New Drone Program

Firefighting in Syracuse is going high-tech. The city fire department has launched a new drone program. Thermal-imaging cameras will be attached to the machines, helping crews find hotspots and see if buildings may collapse. Technology isn't advanced enough yet to use the drones to see if people may be trapped. Startup of the program is expected to cost roughly $20,000.
