GOP, Dems, Pick Black Candidates For AG

New York - For the first time, both major parties nominated African-American candidates to run for attorney general of New York.

Republicans nominated Manhattan attorney and Buffalo native Keith Wofford. Democrats nominated New York City lawyer Letitia James.  

They're going to face off in November to try to replace Eric Schneiderman, who resigned in disgrace amid recent abuse allegations by several women.State Solicitor Barbara Underwood was elected by the legislature this week to serve as A.G. for the rest of the year.
