Monday night around 11:30pm, Syracuse Police responded to the 100 block of Smith Lane in regards to a domestic fight.
When they arrived, the victim who reported she had been involved in a fight with her boyfriend, 20 year old Nahshon Nance, of Syracuse.
The victim told police, Nance had punched her in the mouth and then pulled out a handgun, pointed the gun at her and threatened to shoot her.
While police were on scene, Nance returned to the apartment building. Officer saw him in the hallway of the building and told him to show his hands. Nance then pointed the gun at the police officer before running away. As Nance ran from police, he dropped the weapon in the hallway. He was taken into custody outside the building, as he attempted to flee.
Police recovered the weapon, a loaded Smith and Wesson Colt 45 revolver.
Nance was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Menacing in the Second Degree, Menacing a Police Officer, and Harassment in the Second Degree.
