Syracuse, N.Y. - The Carrier Dome is going to be getting some significant upgrades.
University Officials say that by the Fall of 2020 the inflatable roof of the Dome will be replaced with a new fixed roof. They will also add a vertically hung scoreboard that will be able to move depending on the event along with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. By 2022 the facility will finally be air-conditioned.
The $118 Million in renovations were voted on and approved by the Univerity Trustees on Sunday.
The renovations will begin in May 2019.
