Airbnb Debate Continues In Cazenovia

Cazenovia, N.Y. - Following a public meeting Monday night, officials in the Village of Cazenovia will soon decide what to do about residents listing their homes online for short-term rentals.

The village is considering anywhere between an outright ban of rental services such as Airbnb to a slight adjustment to their current village codes.

"Cazenovia is a great destination and we are very welcoming to visitors," says Village Mayor Kurt Wheeler. "Finding ways to effectively manage this new approach to lodging will help us to provide a better experience for our residents and guests over the long term."

Officials have scheduled a work session for next week to review all the information shared by residents at the meeting.
