Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh and Police Chief Frank Fowler are denouncing a pair of weekend murders.
A man in his 20s was killed yesterday after being shot in the head at a house party on Cortland Ave. 24-year-old Lawrence Moore, died after being found shot in the chest on a front porch on Hoefler Street Saturday Morning.
Walsh said last night that these incidents are deeply saddening to him and the community. He said he's working with Chief Fowler to address the tensions and challenges confronting local young people.
Police are continuing to investigate.
