A longtime and popular announcer on News Radio 570WSYR for many years, Don Dauer, passed away on Tuesday. Don was well known for his catch phrase while on the radio "We're gonna grab it and slam it, we thank you for listening on AM 570WSYR". Don spent 38 years at News Radio 570 WSYR and during his time here he received over 100 public service awards, and 40 honorary memberships in local sportman's clubs. Dauer passed away Tuesday April 17th, 2018 at his home in Phoenix, NY. Our thoughts go out to his family, as he is survived by his wife of 67 years, his son, daughter, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
