Multiple law enforcement agencies are working together in the stabbing death of a Binghamton University student Sunday night.
Alerts from the university report that the student is a 19-year-old male, and that more information would be released after the parents were notified. The stabbing occurred around 10:30 pm in a residence hall. The suspect reportedly ran from the area, and witness reports describe the attacker as a light-skinned male in dark pants and a dark Puma hooded sweatshirt. Investigators have spoken to numerous people overnight, and say the attack is likely not random.
