Albany, N.Y. - Students locally and across the state may have to retake computer-based English tests.
Yesterday there were serious issues for students in 36 Central New York school districts trying to take computerized English Language Arts tests. The state Education Department said third through eighth-grade students at 263 schools across the state had technical difficulties. Some of the reported issues included log-in failures, crashes and lost work.
Education officials blamed the company hired to administer the tests but say the problems are now fixed.
