Teen Arrested For Starting Fire In His Own Home

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s have charged a 15-year-old juvenile in connection with the residential house fire that occurred Tuesday morning in the town of Salina.

The early morning fire that caused damage to a second floor bedroom. It was determined by Onondaga County Fire Investigators to be an act of arson. 

Deputies investigating the fire learned that a 15-year-old living in the house had intentionally set the fire after an argument with others int he house. 

The teen fled from the scene prior to authorities arriving but was located a short time later. 

The teen was charged with Arson in the 2nd degree and is currently being held at the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center.
