Parole Check Leads To Meth Bust In Rome

On Wednesday, around 8:30am, the Rome Police responded to 307 W. Thomas St. in the City of Rome to aid Parole officers. Those officers were at the residence to check on a parolee and in the process they located items that they believed indicated that there might be methamphetamine manfuacturing taking place in the residence.

Rome Police responded to the scene, and ultimately executed a search warrant.

Several items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine were recovered from the residence, leading to the arrests of four individuals. 

All four were charged with the Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree (a class D felony). 

Those charged were:

  • 47-year-old, Daniel G. Bragg, 307 W. Thomas St. Rome, NY
  • 26-year-old, Vincent L. Bragg, 307 W. Thomas St. Rome, NY
  • 45-year-old, Billie J. Bragg, 307 W. Thomas St. Rome, NY
  • 19-year-old, Harry T. Thurston, 719 N. Jay St. Apt. 1N Rome, NY


All four were processed at the Rome Police Department and transported to the Oneida County Jail for CAP arraignment.

 Daniel, Vincent, and Billie J. Bragg were all held on $20,000 bail.

Thurston was held on $5,000 bail.

 Daniel G. Bragg was also charged with a parole violation. 

The investigation is still ongoing and further charges are possible.
