Low Cost Frontier Airlines To Fly Out Of Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Low-Cost Carrier, Frontier Airlines announces new low fare, non-stop flights from Syracuse Hancock International Airport. 

Starting in July they will provide non stop service to Denver and Raleigh/Durham; North Carolina.  Beginning in August they will add non-stop service to Chicago – O’Hare and Orlando. 

The airline revealed the destinations today at an event at Hancock Airport.

 Rick Zeni, Chief Information Officer for Frontier said  “We are proud to call Syracuse our new home. With our new flights to Chicago O’Hare, Denver, Orlando, and Raleigh, we are making air travel more accessible and affordable for travelers to and from central New York and surrounding areas. We look forward to serving this community with our unique brand of Low Fares Done Right.”

Airport Executive Director Christina Callahan said "We are elated to have Frontier Airlines call Syracuse International Airport their new home. This historic announcement will be a watershed moment for the Airport Authority. Never in the history of the airport have we provided direct service to Denver and Raleigh-Durham, and to secure these new markets, along with additional service to Chicago and Orlando – this is a new day for the airport. We have heard you Central New York, and we bring you Frontier Airlines."

Other officials at Wednesday's announcement included U.S. Rep. John Katko, Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, and New York Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul all parising the Frontier announcement as a major arrival at the Syracuse Airport.
