During a traffic stop on Wednesday evening in the 300 block of Delaware street, the passenger of the car being stopped, immediately got out and ran from the scene.
That person was 19 year old Salah Felder. Police observed the butt of a hand gun sticking out of Felder's jacket pocket. Police pursued him and he was taken into custody.
After a ground search following the path Felder ran police located a loaded Walther .380 caliber semiautomatic handgun. The gun was previously reported stolen from the Charlotte North Carolina area.
Felder was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and a slew of other charges.
