On Sunday employees at Mercer's (Mobil gas station) on Route 232, in the town of Watertown discovered two credit card skimming devices on their gas pumps.
The skimmers were located on pumps number #1 and #4. The skimmers appear to have been installed sometime Friday afternoon but were removed Sunday around 10:30AM.
If you have gotten gas at that station between Friday and Sunday you're encouraged to check your credit/debit card statements and contact your credit/debit card company to cancel your card and request a new one. If you discover charges you didn't make you should first contact your financial institution to determine the extent of the fraud and then the New York State Police at Watertown (315-782-2112) to file a complaint
