Half of the Elite Eight is set following last night’s NCAA Tournament games.
In the South Region, Loyola-Chicago beat Nevada 69-68 and Kansas State topped Kentucky 61-58. In the West, Michigan trounced Texas A&M 99-72 and Florida State foiled Gonzaga 75-60. Loyola clashes with Kansas State and Michigan faces Florida State tomorrow.
Four more Sweet 16 games are on tap tonight, including Syracuse University taking on fellow ACC rival Duke in the Midwest Region. Tip off is set for 9:37 p.m. The exact start of that game depends on when the victor of the clash between top-seeded Kansas and Clemson is determined.
Over in the East Region, top-seeded Villanova takes on West Virginia and Purdue plays Texas Tech. The winners of those games fight for spots to the Final Four in Elite Eight match-ups on Sunday.
