Syracuse, N.Y. - Services are being announced for former Syracuse great Chris Gedney.
Gedney was a stand out tight-end for the Orange before playing in the pros for the Bears and the Cardinals. He was 47.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home in North Syracuse. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Most Holy Rosary Church on Roberts Avenue in Syracuse.
Gedney, who graduated from Liverpool High School, leaves behind a wife and four children.
